The Association's nine Scientific Sections are listed below. The Scientific Sections are called upon to suggest speakers for the Annual Meeting in the areas of interest of the sections and to submit abstracts for the Annual Meeting. The sections also align with the sections of the journal and section members may be invited to review manuscripts in those areas.

- Clinical Science in Practice
- Hematology and Transfusion Medicine
- Medical Error Reduction

Members are invited to enroll in one or more of these sections and participate in their programs. The membership application has spaces to indicate section(s) of interest as does the on-line annual renewal form.
