General Information

The Association welcomes all clinical scientists to apply for membership. Members include pathologists, clinical chemists, molecular and cell biologists, microbiologists, immunologists, hematologists, cytogeneticists, toxicologists, pharmacokineticists, clinicians, cancer researchers, and other doctoral scientists who are experts in the application of laboratory methods for elucidation, diagnosis, and treatment of human diseases.

Application for membership in the Association of Clinical Scientists requires that the applicant be sponsored by a current Fellow of the Association. There are Fellows in many hospitals, medical schools, and industrial or other facilities across the US and in some other countries. If you do not know of a Fellow in your institution or near you, please send an email with a completed application and your CV to our Business Office at ACS@uth.tmc.edu. In your covering email please include the following information:

  • Your full name and degrees
  • Your major field of study
  • Your postdoctoral training or residency (institution)
  • Your current position in laboratory medicine and pathology, department, and institution (e.g., faculty, trainee or resident, or an industry position relevant to laboratory medicine). If industry, please describe your role.
  • List your publications in laboratory medicine and pathology
  • Do you have teaching responsibilities in laboratory medicine / pathology for medical students, residents, or fellows?
  • Your email address and telephone number
